We used to camp it the first 2 months of retail or so. Haven't been as active in tombs lately due to well .... the grind making people not play anymore. That and a few members are on vacation or hiatus etc.
Tombs these days is so sad anyway. Most of the groups that camp it bring these crazy defensive builds then just cross their fingers and hope they don't have to 1v1 anyone decent on the way there. Since it only takes like 3 maps on average to get to the hall now it's a pretty good strategy I guess.
About 2 weeks ago we got to the hall in 1 match. We then were put INTO the hall as the defenders against only one other team. We were playing with a non guildie on monk who was subpar and one of our guys dropped to be replaced by a mage henchie. We were running a GvG build so we had no seed, no heal area, no fertile, no edge of extinction, no putrid, essentially nothing you would normally bring to tombs.
We proceeded to win 4 matches in a row. I'm not even proud of it. Each time it was like 1 or 2 henchie teams. One team even had 3 healer monks and a archer henchie! Most of the Dais maps on the way there are now 1v1 and it only seemed like rarely did the 6 way free for all maps have 6 teams in them.
So yeah ... in conclusion most of the PvP in this game has fallen to a very sad level.

let me guess, you did this at like 5 am eastern.
ive noticed that if you do this at a 'peak' hour you have to go thru this crazy number of waiting rooms until you get to the hall.... while on like a saturday night, 5 am, ive had like 2 maps until the hall.
otoh ive been in a really nice group that was doing real well, and we went thru seriously every waiting room, as well as getting thrown back at the relic run. in the end we got beaten by a really good smite team that somehow managed to res and beat us (?). but i think we could have won the hall at least once with that team (had we gotten there)...
i dont really do hoh that much because its just that time consumming, taking about half an hour just to get started, about half an hour to get the team working together, and then several hours of real playing. but then ive never really played with my own guild (not enough people willing to do it online at the same time...), so it could be a moot point for a guild like iQ.
ive noticed alot more of these really sad groups in gvgs, ive beaten several other groups with around 6 real players with all hench and two people...
but looking back on it i think its just a pendulum movement kind of thing... alot of people leave, many bad teams win... other teams get interested and all of a sudden competition increases and once again people leave in frustration...

Hi guys, well I’ve been busy and mostly gone out of town for the last couple of weeks, so a couple of battles along your sides would surely be a great refresher course.
Drop me a whisper if you are ever looking for a fourth, it would jump at the occasion.
Good gaming!

Around 11 pm eastern. Tombs is a graveyard. From recent experience battles are actually easier in the Hall of Heroes than the lower tier maps.
Peace,

I would be interested in running a few with IQ. Never PvP'd before so it could be interesting. Please add me to that list of yours.

I think once you've played with us and have the Vent info, it's best to hop on at anytime to see if any TA is going on.

`bout 10 minutes ago I played against two iQ guys and two others (don't remember names)...needless to say, my team was chewed up and spit out again. I don't think I even scratched Savage Cheater, Guardian remindes me why I bring SOMETHING to hit through block.

Thanks to everyone at iQ for the run tonight (8/23/05), The advise and constructive criticism was welcome and presented in a way that improves the people they play with. They were willing to share there thoughts on skills and builds, If you get invited drop whatever you are doing and go play.
50 wins in a row, do I get a cookie?

::gives Wrane his cookie::
Glad to hear it.
@Tippy:
The list isn't updated every day. The list isn't like the list at a snooty bar; it's just something to refer to when we're looking to pick up a person or two. Whisper an iQ person in-game after 9pm EST to see if we're running Arena at the moment.

I'd like to be a part of this. After joining fairly noobish PUGS and getting utterly trashed by iQ, I want some time at the other end of the beatings. lol.
IGN is Thingol Greycloak
I can play any type of monk, ranger, or warrior.
